Training in the core norms, principles, and rules governing the practice of responsible research is part of funding requirements of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). Refer to the MU Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) Sponsored Programs Procedure Guide for agency-specific requirements and related campus procedures.
The University of Missouri is a subscriber to the Web-based Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program. The MU CITI curriculum includes modules for Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training in any of various academic disciplines. Successful completion of the CITI training is used by SPA to certify training status.
