This fall, Annette Kendall, senior technology transfer marketing manager, and Lisa Lorenzen, assistant vice chancellor for technology advancement, are teaching Entrepreneurial Mindset, a new online, one-hour course for graduate students.

“Today’s employers are looking for graduates who possess the ability to find solutions to complex problems,” said Kendall. “This seminar class will help students leverage their existing skills and learn new strategies for innovative thinking.”

The course is the first in a series of three that will empower students to hone entrepreneurial skills like thinking unconventionally and creatively, selling ideas, finding the best collaborators and understanding the value of risk taking.

“Students will benefit from this course, no matter what their career path,” Lorenzen said. “We’re teaching skills that they can use whether they intend to run a research lab, work in industry or start a new business. “
