At the end of the spring semester, 47 University of Missouri faculty learned they were accepted as 2024-26 fellows in three programs that will provide them with resources and training to help shape and fulfill their goals in teaching, research, scholarship and creative pursuits:

Candace Kuby, associate provost for faculty success, says the fellows programs offer sustained support over two years for faculty at different stages of their careers and in various disciplinary homes.

“Programs like these are important because they provide a small community of colleagues to build relationships and support each other, and they provide access to resources from the Office of the Provost and Division of Research, Innovation and Impact," Kuby says. "The cohort programming also brings in faculty and staff from across campus for fellows to meet and learn from as they pursue career goals.”

Division of Research professionals lead workshops, provide one-on-one research consultations and partner with Kuby’s team to organize the Arts and Humanities Fellows Program.

“We love that these programs are about more than just providing tools and resources — we get to build lasting relationships with researchers," says Christine Terry, Division of Research director of professional development. "We meet with them individually several times over the course of the program to offer personalized guidance and support, such as helping them grow their research plans, navigate grant applications and connect with other scholars."

Faculty can apply to participate in a fellows program every January. For questions, please contact Brooke Hartman
