The National Science Foundation (NSF) Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide now requires proposers to certify that a plan is in place for creating and maintaining safe and inclusive work environments for off-campus or off-site research.
University of Missouri investigators and grant writers can now find new requirements like this from research funders on the Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) news and announcements webpage.
As MU's official liaison with federal agencies, industry partners and other research sponsors, SPA focuses on helping investigators get their grant applications out the door, negotiates contracts and works with college and school administrators to manage the funds.
“There are many agency-specific requirements and topics that don’t warrant full-blown sponsored research written guidelines and procedures but still affect the acceptance of grant proposals, contracts and awards,” said Brenda Leuenberger, SPA associate director. “We often email this type of information to the MU grants community. Posting items on our new webpage will keep them available and more accessible.”
