Both the NIH and NSF offer a variety of supplements, which are additional funds provided to existing grants to support research or research-related activities. These supplements allow for additional funding to support priorities, strengthen new lines of University of Missouri research, extend or expand others, and more.

On Aug. 25, the Division of Research is offering a virtual workshop on “Applying for NSF Supplements: REUs, RETs & More.”

Sarah Polasky, director of the division’s Strategic Proposal Development Service, and Christie Terry, director of the division’s Professional Development, will explain the variety of supplements available through the NSF, different paths for applying for those supplements and the support available to help MU researchers create a successful request.

The workshop is noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25. Register to join.
