SPONSORED PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATION
Pivot Funding Opportunities Database
Pivot, formerly the Community of Science (COS), provides a comprehensive database of funding
opportunities and an expertise database to help you identify potential collaborators within MU
and at institutions around the world. The website also allows users to set up automated funding
alerts based on keywords and areas of interest. Pivot is a subscription service provided by the
Office of Research for all MU researchers. The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA)
is happy to assist you in using this service.
Getting Started with Pivot
Create Your Pivot Account and Claiming Your Profile
Create Your Pivot Account: If you registered previously with COS, your same user name and password will allow you access to Pivot.
Claiming and Updating Your Pivot Profile: The University of Missouri is currently implementing myVITA, a web-based system for faculty members to report on their research, teaching, scholarship and creative works. OSPA and the myVITA Implementation Team are exploring ways to integrate the faculty profile functionalities of these two new resources. OSPA will update this page with additional information as it becomes available.
