Amount:

Intends to fund up to six awards and commit $1,524,000 in FY 2016, 2017, and 2018. 

The total institutional direct costs may not exceed $235,000 each year.  The costs should reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. The expected project period is three years.

The over-arching goal of this program is to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nation’s biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs.

The objective of this funding opportunity is to support awards to teach summer courses in biomedical statistics for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students in order to encourage them to pursue careers in biostatistics.
