Intends to commit $12M in FY 2015 to fund up to four awards, as well as the Infrastructure and Opportunity Fund.

Application budgets are not limited but must reflect the actual needs of the proposed research.  The scope of the proposed project should determine the project period.  The maximum project period is four years.

Only one application per institution will be accepted. 

This program intends to validate existing and emerging pediatric item banks and instruments available at the NIH Patient-Reporting Outcomes (PROs) Measurement Information System (PROMIS).  The purpose of this FOA is to capitalize on recent advances in the science of PROs to measure the patient experience in clinical care and research in children with a variety of chronic diseases and conditions using PROMIS tools and approaches.
