Limited Submission AnnouncementThe Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Millennium Promise
Awards: Non-communicable Chronic Diseases Research Training Program
(NCoD) (D43) solicits applications for a research training program
related to chronic, non-communicable diseases to help build capacity
for future local research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The research areas include cancer, cerebrovascular disease including
stroke, lung disease including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
(COPD), obesity as well as genetics, environmental factors including
indoor air pollution, and lifestyle factors related to these conditions.
The research that these trainees would be associated with is expected
to be of importance in the participating LMICs.
