Limited Submission Announcement

The National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) will fund Exploratory Centers of Excellence (COE) (P20) to support infrastructure and capacity building, building and sustaining novel partnerships, training, innovative basic biomedical and behavioral clinical, or population-based research and intervention and prevention studies contributing to either the improvement of minority health, the elimination of health disparities, or both.


Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2009. Letters of intent should be limited to three pages and should include a summary of plans for 1) the scientific focus of the Center (minority health, health disparities, or both), 2) the Center’s goals and type of research to be conducted 3) the cores, and 4) expected outcomes.

Amount:

$4,750,000. Not to exceed $950,000 per year for a period of up to five years.

4:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2009

Sponsor Deadlines:

Optional letter of intent due May 19, 2009
Full proposals due by June 19, 2009
