Limited Submission Announcement

The National Eye Institute (NEI) Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Program (K12) supports the development of a diverse pool of highly trained clinician-scientists and patient-oriented investigators in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to address the nation's biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs in vision research. The purpose of the NEI Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Program Award (K12) is to facilitate and support the career development of clinical vision scientists who have made a commitment to independent research careers.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009. Letters of intent should be limited to a total of 3 pages and should include 1) qualifications of the program director, 2) members of the Program Advisory Committee, 3) mentors and their qualifications, 4) recruitment plan, and 5) evaluation and tracking plan.

Amount:

1,125,000 in direct costs per year for up to five years.
