Limited Submission Announcement

The Japan Prize International Educational Program Contest has been re-booted as a venue for competition among educational programs that show high quality audiovisual effects using sound and images and contribute to the improvement of education worldwide will be awarded.

Audiovisual materials using sound and images that are produced with the purpose of improving educational effects include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Linear content (The first broadcast, issue, or circulation date must have been between August 1, 2007, and July 31, 2008.)
  2. Websites (The website must have been updated after August 1, 2007. It must be possible to browse the website in Tokyo between August 10 and October 28, 2008.)
  3. Game software (The first sale or circulation date must have been between August 1, 2007, and July 31, 2008.)
  4. Other interactive materials (The first sale or circulation date must have been between August 1, 2007, and July 31, 2008.)

The materials should have an audio-visual configuration that can be introduced through broadcasting because the entered programs may be broadcast in contest-related programs. The Audiovisual Division includes five categories: Pre-school, Primary, Teen, Continuing Education, and Welfare Education.

Because MU is limited to one application for each category of this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2008. Letters of intent should be limited to drafts of the required 1) summary of the entry, 2) educational aims, and 3) method to achieve desired aims. In addition, one copy of the entry should be provided to ltdsub@missouri.edu or 205 Jesse Hall.

Amount:

An award, a certificate, and between $2,000 and $5,000

4:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2008

July 31, 2008
