Limited Submission Announcement

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announces SAMHSA's Knowledge Dissemination Conference Grants program (also referred to as SAMHSA Conference Grants). The purpose of the program is to disseminate knowledge about practices within the mental health services and substance abuse prevention and treatment fields and to integrate that knowledge into real-world practice as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Not all SAMHSA centers will be awarding Conference Grants in any given year. Applicants should visit the SAMHSA web site at to learn which centers are providing funding and the number and size of awards for any specific year.

Because MU is limited to one application per receipt date for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research,, no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2008. Letters of intent should be limited to 3 pages and should include 1) the topic of the proposed conference; 2) programmatic priorities and principles that will be addressed by the conference; and 3) how the conference will advance the field of substance abuse and/or mental health prevention, treatment and rehabilitative services, particularly in reference to culturally and racially diverse populations


$50,000 for a 12-month project period
