The Nick Traina Foundation (NTF) supports organizations involved in the diagnosis, research, treatment, or family support of manic-depression, suicide prevention, child abuse, and children in jeopardy, and provides assistance to struggling musicians in the area of mental illness. The NTF may give special consideration to proposals that address manic-depression in children and young adults. Because MU is limited to one application per calendar year for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2008. Letters of intent should be limited to a three-page overview of the proposed project summarizing the following elements: 1) overview of the proposed project, 2) population to be served by this project, 3) history working with this population, and 4) the proposed impact the project will have on the target population.
