The Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange (CCKF) offers a limited number of travel grants to help fund travel for assistant, associate, and full professors to present papers at conferences on subjects related to Chinese studies.

Assistant/associate professors from the United States and Canada who have not conducted research in Taiwan may apply for a visiting fellowship to visit Taiwan for a short period of time to become acquainted with Taiwan's research facilities, including Academia Sinica, the Palace Museum, and leading universities.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2007. Letters of intent should include 1) a 1-page summary of the proposed project, and 2) a 2-page biographical sketch of the applicant.

Amount:

Travel grants, up to a maximum of $1,000, are for travel and hotel costs not reimbursed by the conference organizer. Visiting fellowships will include travel and living costs up to three months. The maximum award for a three-month stay is $10,000. Shorter stays will be prorated.

4:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2007

Sponsor Deadline:

September 15, 2007 or February 15, 2008 for conferences to be held during the following six-month period
