The Ethics Education in Science and Engineering (EESE) program considers proposals for research and educational projects to improve ethics education in all of the fields of science and engineering that the National Science Foundation (NSF) supports. For this year, proposals must focus on improving ethics education for graduate students in those fields, and on ethical issues that arise in research or graduate research education in those fields, particularly proposals addressing issues involving the international or global context and those addressing issues of intellectual property, including scientific publishing.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research,, no later than 4:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2007. Letters of intent should be limited to a 3-page summary of the proposed project, including 1) wehter the project will entail research and/or education activities, 2) rationale for the proposed activities, 3) anticipated activities, 4) evaluation plans (if applicable), and 5) any anticipated partner organizations.
