The Princess Grace Awards is a national program dedicated to identifying and assisting emerging young theater, dance, and film artists who are at the outset of their careers or at early stages of professional development. This mission is accomplished in playwriting through a grant and residency program at New Dramatists, Inc. in New York City. The awardee's script will be included in New Dramatists' lending library, and the script will be distributed nationally to catalogue subscribers for one year.

Emerging playwrights who have not had any professional productions are eligible. Published plays, one-acts, and adaptations are not eligible.
