The Healthcare Foundation of Greater Kansas City will award grants for projects that are based upon applicants’ determination of a need and consistent with the target population and service area (Missouri: Cass, Jackson, Lafayette Counties; Kansas: Allen, Johnson, Wyandotte Counties). Proposals will be accepted and reviewed on a regular basis throughout the year with funding decisions made usually within four to eight weeks after receipt of proposal. The Foundation does not fund research projects.

Because MU is limited to one applicant-defined submission per calendar year, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2007. Letters of intent should be limited to 3 pages and should summarize 1) the problem or need to be addressed; 2) the purpose, activities, outcome measures, and sustainability of the proposed project; and 3) the estimated amount of funding to be requested, the anticipated source(s) of cost match, and the proposed grant period.
