Limited Submission Announcement

Yale University Curatorial Research Grants support scholarship in the field of British art and architectural history and disseminate knowledge through publications, exhibitions, and education. Grants do not cover contemporary fine arts, archaeology, the current practice of architecture, or the performing arts. Curatorial Research Grants are normally made to help institutions undertake research for a particular exhibition or installation of British art by appointing a research curator. In some instances, a grant may be made to an institution to provide staff in lieu of a curator who wishes to take leave from other curatorial duties to undertake research for an exhibition or related project.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research,, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010. Letters of intent should be limited to a two-page summary of the curatorial project including 1) an overview of the proposed project, 2) a timetable, 3) the expectations and responsibilities of the Research Curator, and 4) details of other sources of financial support (realized or projected).

Awards will not exceed £20,000 per annum, for up to three years.
