Limited Submission Announcement

The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences supports young investigators of outstanding promise in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to the advancement of human health. The award is intended to provide assured support for junior members of the faculty during their earlier years as they establish their laboratories. It is hoped that the assurance provided through the program will encourage successful applicants to be more venturesome in their research and future applications for support than would otherwise be likely.

Eligible candidates must hold full-time appointments at the rank of assistant professor or equivalent. As of July 1, 2011, a candidate must not have been in such an appointment for more than three years, whether or not such appointments were on a tenure track.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research,, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010. Letters of intent should be limited to a one-page summary of the work to be undertaken and a two-page biosketch of the nominee.
