Limited Submission Announcement

The American Psychological Foundation (APF) Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Graduate Student Fellowship Program supports graduate students in child psychology.  The APF provides financial support of innovative research and programs that enhance the power of psychology to elevate the human condition and advance human potential both now and in generations to come.

The program seeks to facilitate:

  • Nurturance of excellent scholars in the broad area of child psychology (e.g., developmental, child-clinical, pediatric, school psychology, educational psychology, and developmental psychopathology)
  • Support for scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and learning in child psychology

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research,, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010.  Letters of intent should be limited to a 2-page CV of the candidate and a 2-page summary that includes 1) goals of the project and how they fulfill the goals of the fellowship program, 2) the potential impact of the project on child psychology, and 3) plans for future development of the research program. 


Up to four fellowships of up to $25,000 and up to two runner-up scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded.

4:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010

External Proposal Deadlines:

Last year’s deadline was November 16, 2009.  A similar November deadline is expected for 2010.
