Limited Submission Announcement

The NIH Framework Programs for Global Health Signature Innovations Initiative (R24) seek to enhance the infrastructure and opportunities at the participating institutions for training postdoctoral investigators to carry out innovative, multidisciplinary research in global health. The initiative emphasizes hands-on problem solving and collaborative approaches, and may require the development of new training models and new partnerships within and beyond the university community.

Institutions should propose to build research or research training infrastructure and develop training resources and activities that will provide the university community with the tools, concepts, mentoring, and opportunities that will nurture innovative multidisciplinary approaches to global health research that go beyond sharing viewpoints to actively working together on common research problems.

Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010. Letters of intent should be limited to three pages and should include 1) a summary of the proposed training and resources, including participating schools and departments; 2) how the proposed activities are innovative and will lead to a sustained opportunity at MU; and 3) a brief explanation of the evaluation plan.
