NIDDK Cystic Fibrosis Research and Translation Core Center Program
Limited Submission AnnouncementThe National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health solicits grant applications from institutions/organizations for Core Centers. The Cystic Fibrosis Research and Translation Core Center Program is designed to support both basic and clinical research on Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Core Centers provide shared resources to support research to develop and test new therapies for CF and foster collaborations among institutions with a strong existing research base in CF. The Center will also support pilot and feasibility studies to develop and test new approaches to therapy. Because MU is limited to one application for this program, letters of intent must be submitted to the Office of Research, ltdsub@missouri.edu, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009. Letters of intent should be limited to three pages and should include 1) the type of core (institutional, regional, national or international), 2) the goals and aims, 3) a description of the program and services to be provided, and 4) how the program and services support Cystic Fibrosis research.
